Bridgwater YMCA Community Radio Station Uses Sonifex S2 Mixer

Bridgwater YMCA
in Somerset, UK, has recently undergone a massive refurbishment project, completely re building the facility from the ground up. As a part of their commitment to young people and to the local community they decided to commission Special Media Projects, a company who specialise in building radio studios, to construct a complete state of the art community radio station. As a result two full broadcast studios were installed, which now serve the locals with a mix of music, conversation and news which are open for anyone to come in and have a go at radio broadcasting.
As part of the studio build,Special Media Projects
installed five Sonifex Redbox RB-DA6, 6 way stereo distribution amplifiers, a Redbox RB-OA3
studio switcher, an HY-03
telephone hybrid, a DHY-03
telephone hybrid, three SignalLED MIC LIVE studio signs
and two S2 radio broadcast mixers
.
The Sonifex S2 Radio Broadcast Mixer
is a modular broadcast mixer which offers digital audio quality with analogue reliability in a modular format. It has both digital and analogue input channels, together with simultaneous analogue and digital outputs.
